almost 3 months!

I can't believe that my baby girl is almost 3 months old! Where does the time go? Not a whole lot has happened in the Bowman household... Hailey is changing everyday.. learning new things... She's starting to like standing and sitting up a lot... she's giggling.. crying when mommy goes out of the room:).... loves to stare at ceiling fans and lights.... hates the doctors office... loves candy canes... started crying when trying to give her a bath.... loves her daddy... hates his scratchy face....and his loud coughs!.... she loves patty-cake... she's very loud when going potty... her little gas is soooo cute...she loves her mommy's milk... she gained almost a pound over the holiday.... she's finally in size 2 diapers... loves her play gym and swing... she's glued to the tv if it's on.... her fingernails grow way to fast... she looks beautiful in everything she wears! especially pink... her eye's are still blue.... she's such a snuggle bug in the morning... and afternoon... and evening... she loves her cousins and aunts and uncles... and grandparents... she's still unaware of Bill... Bill could care less.... she's been vaccinated... her hair is getting longer... she grew out of my two favorite sleepers...she's 22 inches long... loves to pull on mommy's hair.... loves to explode in her pants after being dressed for the day.... especially when she's home with dad... doesn't complain being a manikin(sp?) doll so mommy can see what looks cute and still fits her... loves to grab anything... loves to suck on her hands.. and fingers... she will still go to anyone that wants to hold her.. she's just so amazing and makes me proud everyday!
if all of this occurred in just 3 short months.. I wonder what it will be like in the next 3... enjoy the photos!... I have to admit that this is a mixture of things that have happened over 3 months so the video is really LONG.. make sure you have time to watch it:)... some photos of the hospital, coming home, 1st weeks of being home, Dr. visits, Halloween (she was a ghost), potential boyfriends named Caylor, both grandmas, blessing day pictures, aunts, cousins and friends holding Hailey, bath time fun... and others.. just let me know if you have any questions about the photos:)

what does labor feel like?

So, what exactly does labor feel like? I had NO idea. At exactly midnight on Oct 7th, I started having little contractions... needless to say I didn't get a whole bunch of sleep. Finally at about 2am I couldn't take lying in bed anymore so I came downstairs and played around with how to get comfortable...yeah, it didn't work. I went back upstairs at 4 and told Nate that he needed to pack our bags because I thought this was it... and it was:) We went to the hospital and got checked in and setup in the room.. and there we just waited:) contractions started to get harder and harder (ouch ouch ouch) and Nate, Mom, and Dad (yes, at that time I could care less who was in there... so.. yeah, it was a family thing) were such great helpers! Especially Nate. He tried so hard to do everything just right for me... According to them, at one time I was eating ice chips and then I spit them at my mom... I try not to believe everything they tell me about that day:) So, we got to the hospital about 5:30/6ish and she came at 11:35 am! So all in all, labor and delivery were less than 12 hours! WARNING: some content may not be suitable for children under the age of 40....

Hailey being cleaned... she was so white/gray...

she looked like an old man.. or alien.. with that goop in her eyes...
look at that proud papa...

our first family picture

she was so alert and her tongue kept sticking out
in the nursery very upset to be away from her momma...

okay, maybe she just needed some clothes on..

our lovely room... after 2 1/2 days it got to you

my two most favorite people

she was so tiny... and she loves sleeping on your chest..
yes, the flower is as big as her head... i love it when she yawns

kisses from her mommy

already to come home... the headband was a little too big

why do they make women, who just had babies, sit in an uncomfortable chair?? you would think they would come up with something better.. all i really wanted to do was walk... but that's okay.
ahhh.. home.. it was so nice to come home.

belly, belly, belly....

SO...Nate and I really didn't plan on becoming parents... ever... we had our bunny and life felt complete.. jk.. it was a dark and chilly night in February when they... ha ha.. I will spare you the dirty details:) No, but in early March it was official... EXPECTED DUE DATE: OCT 7TH.
I can't complain when it comes to my pregnancy. I didn't have any morning sickness, no health problems, baby was perfect from the get-go, pretty much no concerns whatsoever!!! I loved every part of it. I loved being able to lay in bed at night and feel her kick the heck out of my ribs.. I loved knowing that she was safe and warm and growing in my belly. Isn't that just amazing! I would have to say that for this reason only, that we, women, are truly blessed beyond measures... enjoy the pictures below. For some reason, we really didn't take many pregnancy pictures... something about always feeling fat and tired..

in the beginning there were two... and a bunny

Here is our start! Nate and I were married on March 11th, 2006 in the Mesa, Arizona temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Yes, after over 100 days of NO RAIN, it poured all day long! Needless to say we had to go back a couple of days later to take some pictures. I can't believe it's been almost 3 years! Time has really gone by fast! Bill (the bunny) just turned 3 in October. He was our spoiled baby, but now.. not so much. He's such a good bunny. Doesn't complain at all and eats what we put in his dish:) We love you Bill!
So this blog post is a little long and the pictures are really big, but hey, I'm new at this and I am feeling really proud that I finally got this up and running.. Thanks to all for your patience. It might take me a while to get this down and start getting the hang of it. I love computers!
