a little bit of random...

Here is one of the last pictures we took with Bill and Holly. Just a little update on the little girl. She's doing okay. She's going to lose her left eye for sure and her right is almost completely healed. The only downside to it is we have to give her injectable antibiotics twice a day for a while... so we'll see. We might have to make the decision to put her down as well, but we'll come to that later.. She's still hopping around and being the mischievous little bunny as always.
A couple of weeks ago, Hailey and I met my parents and Matt and Nancy and family in Bardstown for a basketball game. Jasmines team was playing the Old Kentucky Home middle school and we had fun being with family! Jay is the 3rd from the left (and smiling at me) and she did an awesome job!
Here is Ethan with his "baby cousin Hailey". He's so funny and I just love him so! I don't know why I didn't take any pictures with Amber, Devin, Matt or Nancy.. but they were there and I love them too!
Hailey was quite content on grandpa's lap with her sippie and snacks.. she's such a good little person!
Okay.. She has got some of the funniest facial expressions in the WORLD! This is right after waking up from a nap and her hair is flipping CRAZY! She sweats in her sleep and so it gets a little funky and I have to wet it down and use a brush to get it looking okay... she's starting to NOT let me put things in her hair and it's making me SO SAD!

my two favorite people!!! I think Nate looks very handsome in glasses! She found my basket of markers on the bookshelf and she LOVES to play with them. So I usually let her.
So our sweet neighbor, Linda, has 5 cats and Hailey LOVES them! This one is named Elvis. He's the cat that Nate saved from a tree when we first moved here. Ever since then we've been really close to Linda! She's the cat lady:)

He's almost as big as her and so she was a little scared at first.. but then she was the one chasing! Watch out kitties!
This is her really goofy smile. When you get her laughing really hard she shows all her teeth and SNORTS! Yes, she takes after her momma! It's so funny... oh.. how she's growing up.

Bill the Beloved

Today we woke up to very sad news. Bill, our bunny, was killed by an animal during the nighttime and his lifeless body was found right inside his cage. We're not sure what or who did this (we do have thoughts about cats) but it has greatly affected us. We've always pictured Bill living till 30, getting fatter and fatter, and always being the Easter Bunny. We never expected anything like this could ever happen. I just feel bad that he didn't always know how much we loved him and how much fun and joy he brought into our lives. He will be greatly missed by us and those that have known him. Some good things about Bill that we loved is that his temperament was always very calm, sweet, and snugly. We loved the way that he would hop and his fat on his feet would swing from side to side. How his ears always perked up when he heard the sound of the "treat jar" (crackers, chips, yogurt drops), how he could float in water when giving him a bath, taking him for walks (or pulls) in the park with his leash and collar. He was just such a GOOD bunny. Holly is missing him terribly and I just pray that she will be okay. She is suffering from both eyes being scratched and almost taken out. We put together a little video of Bill, no longer Bill the bunny, but Bill the Beloved. --some summer fun--

Here is just a little bit of what we've been up to so far! Things are crazy as ever, but I find myself enjoying being a mother every minute! Hailey is getting to be so fun and CRAZY and loves to play all day long! We love having visitors come and play and she thinks she's such a big girl for FINALLY being allowed into the kitchen!(Bill and Holly are officially outside bunnies... sad, I know.. but I didn't want my child eating rabbit poop and cat litter..) I have some way cute photos of her, but not on this post.. Nate starts school in a couple of weeks, Hailey's getting two more teeth (8 total), and I'm just hanging in there. I love being a mommy! I love my little girl!

we went swimming and came home and within the hour, she feel asleep while playing in her high chair... it was so sweet!

I had my nieces up for a couple of days and uncle Nate let both of the weld in the garage. They had a piece of metal that they welded their name on .. turned out cute! Elana was mad that she couldn't do it, but in a couple of years uncle Nate will let her! So they made her one too!

We meet up with Aunt Karen and cousins Elana, Gabe, and Ivy at the bowling alley.. We had a lot of fun!
The girls are such goof balls! I was a tad bit embarrassed when they would yell out the window at people at Wal-mart as we would drive by them...
Hailey LOVES water! She loves taking a bath! I can hardly get the diaper off fast enough for her to climb in! She's so silly!
We got this pool last year for 3 bucks at K-Mart... Yeah, she's totally chillin'. You should see her at the BIG pool.. She has a blast!
Poor Bill and Holly... I do feel bad for them, but they LOVE to be outside! I think they are more happy hopping around being free in the grass then being locked up in the kitchen all the time.. don't you?
We did it! Nate-Hailey-and I finally joined M.A.R.C. Model A's Restoration Club.. (I think) We have had a lot of fun so far! This was our first tour that we went on.. it was to Hall's on the River.. Hailey gets a lot of attention from our fellow members.. She probably reminds them of their grand or great-grand children!
This girl loves rice cereal! She prefers this over pretty much anything.. Even me sometimes!
I usually let her have the bowl after she eats a good portion of it.. She never fails to need a bath afterwards
This is my best friend Sara and her husband Eli.. They are expecting a little girl (Abigail) in October! What a great month to have a baby! We're so excited for them and this new adventure in their life:)

Juliann and Brent.. What a sweet couple! Their sealing was so sweet and I"m so thankful that Nate sat out with Hailey so I could go in.. Hailey went to her first softball game.. Nancy (these monkey's mom) is the coach and my sister-in-law.. she does such a great job! The kids one their first game of the season! Aren't they so cute!!!

I promise- we are still alive and well... just a little busy! Things are going great here in Kentucky... Nate is still in summer school.. only 4 weeks left! We're so proud of him and his hard work... Needless to say, I married a WONDERFUL guy:) The weather here has been humid and hot! Our flowers are growing and looking really great, and our bunnies are still bunnies! Hailey is getting so much personality on her! She loves to eat rice cereal (I don't give her too much of it... we'll work harder closer to a year...) and to cuddle with mommy! I don't know what Nate does, but he can ALWAYS make her laugh! It's so cute. When I learn how to put videos on here I'll post some of her spitting tricks and her laughter... it really is contagious!
Here are some photos of what we've been up to lately... Hailey and I went shopping with Caylor and his mommy, Sierra. She just happened to find the PERFECT swim wear for our children.. Don't they look great?
Hailey and her FREE necklace that she LOVES! We went to the Wine and Vine Festival that they have yearly here in Nicholasville. For $15 you can walk past the orange barricades and taste 9 wines of your choice! How fun! No, we didn't taste any, but we did walk around to all the booths and had a great time.. Everyone thought she was a BEAUTIFUL baby.. I totally agree:)
Every year we have a bird (usually a robin) make a nest and lay eggs.. This year she had FOUR babies and just last week they flew away.. I was really sad when they finally left.. I loved walking out the door and checking their nest everyday to see them grow.... just reminded me of what my time with Hailey is going to be like...
She is TOTALLY Bowman all the way. Her and Nate look so much alike it's crazy! I've been wanting to dress her up as a boy for a day and call her Henry... Wouldn't that be fun?
So, she is a little obsessed with grass! She loves it! She will be pulling on a blanket trying to get to the grass within seconds of putting her down.. Like the dress? $3.50 at Once Upon a Child.. I love that store!

Karen (my sister) and I went to Sam's one day and took Hailey and Ivy. Well, needless to say, since Ivy is a TAD bit BIGGER than Hailey, she gets to take things away from Hailey without any consequence...(not for long bully!!!jk)
Hailey is so empathetic! Ivy was crying because she was tired and wanted out, and since she was crying it made Hailey cry. She was totally faking it.. So funny!

I just love Hailey! She brings so much joy into our lives! Nate is such a good daddy and she gets so excited when he walks in the door at the end of the day! She's growing up so fast and her new thing she does is scoots backwards and around in a circle. She has yet to crawl, or purposely roll over to get things.. She can do it, but she has to be in the mood for a quick change in scenery! We'll try to keep up with the posts... Hope everyone has a great week!
